Mrs. Buchner is originally from Jefferson, WI. She was confirmed in the faith at St. John’s Lutheran School in Jefferson and is a 2004 graduate of Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills. She went to Martin Luther College to become a teacher. In 2009, she graduated with a degree in Early childhood Education and Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math. Mrs. Buchner was called to be the 3K teacher in San Diego, California where she served until 2016. She took a call to teach Kindergarten and First Grade in Montello, WI which she did for 2 years and then took over as the preschool teacher and director for a year. In July of 2019, she married Pastor Nathaniel Buchner and moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he served as pastor and she taught full-time Kindergarten. In January of 2023 he took a call to serve as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI. She had been subbing at Neenah Lutheran School and working at St. Paul’s Early Learning Center in Winneconne until this summer when her full-time call took effect. She is blessed to serve as the 4K teacher at Neenah Lutheran School.
Mrs. Buchner’s favorite hobbies are watching sports, spending time outside, going on walks with her dog Vinny, trying out new recipes cooking and baking, DIY home and craft projects, finding local wineries/breweries to tour with my husband, and being an auntie to 10 nieces and nephews. A Bible passage that has stayed with her and helped her in my life is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
